Hmmm.....sounds like it could be a good day out. I'll see if I can get K2 talked into going and let you know Don.
Is there any mullet up there? We where intending on fishing for them at the weekend. The wind is to be going south at the weekend which is ideal.

That would be class if you came up Steve, I'm sure the lads up there would be really pleased to see you. I still don't know yet whether I am going or not myself but it sounds like it's gonna be a great day and night's craic.
I'm sure you could sweet talk 'herself' into driving you up, just put the old charm on and she'll say yes.

arrived down and and meet up with rodbender and his family and tom and his missus, while they got the stoves and BBQ on the go me tom and my son got our gear set up on the beach to the right of ivan's. think i was on my second cast that i landed a nice flounder, tom then followed that with a nice turbot, then i was off the mark again, this time it was also a nice turbot. tom then landed another one witch had taken two of his baits  the fishing then got very slow for a while, but then tom got a double shot of turbot :P was a nice catch to finish off our session. dont know what the final catch was but i'm sure ivan and tom will put up their results. it was another great day out and was good to meet up with ivan and his family, as useal the crack was great and so was the grub 8) it was on the way home i passed al' and the other guys, i think they are staying down there for a few days so going to try and get another run down. heres a pic' of tom's double shot,

I got no more fish after that Don as i packed up around the same time as you. That turbot took two hooks complete with lug and mackeral the hungry beggar. It was a mighty day meeting up with Ivan and his family and you and your family again. Al Jordan and another lad arrived around 7.30p.m. and after the usual greetings and banter they set up the rods and were fishing soon after. I had to leave then but I might head over there this afternoon for some more craic with all the lads and see how they got on. The day was just magic from start to finish so roll on Round Four of the Donegal Flatties Ding Ding. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Ya should a been here last week.

When you 2 left I had just the 2 flatties. :) Al, Jordan and Mark arrived shortly afterwards and picked up my rag on the way which I had left in the fridge at home.  Thanks for that Al. He also had brake failure on the way, a bust pipe goin to the servo which I glued and got him goin or stoppin again. While they set up camp Jordan and I fished and I got another 3 to 29cms. :D :D Retired about 9ish and left them fishin till 0330 when I heard them returning to camp. Didnt fish much the next day and had a blank.  The following morning we all moved to the pier for a chuck before heading home at lunch time. All blanked. A great couple of days fishing and mighty crac but I must be a stone heavier. :D :D As Tom says roll on round 4. Yeha.
Need to use some bait up. Hmm, Donegal flatties 2 hrs or Wicklow smuts 2 hrs ????
