UP THE DEISE!!!!!!!

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

KStaff winning matches is the new black.

was alright Pat, nothing really to write home about, but we got about 15 dogs, 3 spurs up to 6kg, couple of smallish pouting, whiting and poor cod, plenty of good sized ballans (1 specimen) around a dozen cuckoo- and corkwing wrasse, 30-35 medium to small pollock, 1 small coalie, one cod at around 4lb, a 1/2 box of mackies and a small grey gurnard. Weather was near tropical and the sea like a millpond, great crack and the banter was flying, Miller was kept on ice too... ;-) a good trip to go by all accounts, an excellent skipper, a bunch of decent lads as crew and 2 new species for me :D what more can you wish for from a day's angling? 8) :D

 yeah, we do get a bit spoiled over time on this boat trips, don't we? The cod and the spur was caught on a mack baited red kilmore killers, interestingly now most of the ballans took plain unbaited coloured feathers, mackies and pollock seemed to have a preference for the black colours, I had 2 ballans on the black feathers later, water was fairly clear and we fished for them hard on the bottom over mostly broken ground not far from Rossaveal. Cod and spurs were taken on Kevin's secret mark on a rising tide.
