Good man, I'll tie up a few different patterns depending on how many hooks I have. Floaters and slow sinkers.

I think it is. Eric or Jack will know. Just wondering, are you going to specifically target mullet??

Thu May 15, 2008 2:32 pm

The west pier is no good for anything else. With the fly rod anyway.

Thu May 15, 2008 2:33 pm

Thu May 15, 2008 2:42 pm

I'll take one along for you. Only quick sinking line though.

Hey guys, if we are after the Mullet why not go to the power station outlet? Only a short hop from the sydney parade dart station. Mullet city.

Thu May 15, 2008 10:21 pm

Lads where did you end up I was at the west pier slip for around an hour only saw one mullet no interest in the bread i was putting in. Maybe another time. :)

Thu May 15, 2008 11:54 pm

I was at the west pier. Exactly 7pm. No sign of anyone.

I headed up close to the end of the pier. Caught 4 small pollock and 2 small coalies on the fly. Was getting dark when I was on my way home.

Saw a load of mullet, so I tied on a very small shrimp fly(size 18 Irish shrimp). Chucked it at them for a half an hour, no good. So I went to reel in, BANG!!
Small Mullett of about 1/2 pound.

Better luck next time in Meeting up.
