Thanks Skipper for those words of sanity in these litigious times.

Hi Ed, thanks for the comments, but it seems to me when a bunch of guys cant get together to have a days fishing and worrying about insurance its a sorry state of affairs I know all the implications of the inherent dangers with third party liability but jeez lads just get on with it organise your days fishin and enjoy you know what venues are likely to be busy with people so dont go there for christ sake just enjoy your fishin and meet the other guys from the forum go for it boys

After a weekend of losing tackle on the North Beach, would it make sense to fish on South Beach for the fish off?

personally i think an 'easy' venue would make for more fun. if we're all out losing leads we might just see oneanother at our worst!! we could have a 'see who can curse the least competition'?

What happened last time? Ed, Vasu, Myself, Pat Hicks and Jon Moloney were the only ones there! After all the talk of who was going to turn up. Get up off yer asses boys and put your feet where your mouth is. It's no good yapping about it if people don't bother turning up... :( :P

I think last time, people may have been put off by the weather? I was in UK, unfortunately, but when I got back to find out how things had gone in the fish off, I heard the weather was foul.

Fishing is supposed to be fun after all. It's hard keeping everyone happy with a venue and time.

I have to say weather conditions look really promising for the meet this Saturday 30/10. Strong to gale force easterlies for the rest of the week and then slackening off on Saturday with as the met service call it "a 10% chance of precipitation".

Where is the definitive location, North beach Greystones can always produce the goods after a blow.
