Just ordered the CCC from century, not the low diameter 1...any1 any thoughts on the rod or used it?

I have the ld version, and if it is anywhere near as nice to fish with as that then you will be very happy with your purchase :)

I really can't find fault with it. It casts like a dream, shows up bites well even at range and is basically an enjoyable rod to fish with - I am looking forward to many years of fishing with mine. Some people find the moveable reel seat doesn't tighten completely, but I have had no problems on that score. The extra grip above the spigot is a nice touch which makes breaking the rod apart easier with cold wet hands. If I was being picky then I would say that I was not 100% happy with the reflective tape on the tip, but it is a personal choice and cheap and easy fix (and something that I have had to do on every rod I have ever bought) so nothing to complain about really.

I also have the LD version and echo just about everything that Manxfisher has just said, the tip is perhaps a tad stiff for detecting flattie bites ( though its a bit overgunned for that type of fishing ) but beside that - they are pretty much perfect. :D :D

Been looking at this one recently myself..... Can you say where you are getting it at €300 :?: If it's a personal deal from a tackle shop, then no worries.

I'm thinking of this rod for match fishing when there is a bit of weather or heavy sea's. Good to hear that the bite detection is pretty good. Any thoughts on this V's the Zziplex 3500?
