my old hiking rucksack finally fell apart and i couldnt find a replacment locally so i ordered a new salt rucksack from veals (for £18 i wasnt expecting much) 6 trips later no tears no rusty zips ,just smells like my old one i recon it should last well as its resonable material and seems robust enough only thing its lacking is a bit of extra padding in the back, you have to make sure u dont put anything oddly shaped in that area .
for £18 i wont complain its defo fit for the job
veals= 2 days to get to bray

I went for one of the IMAX rucksacks last year from Veals. A bit more pricy, but a nice bit of kit. It seems to have more storage than the description suggests. I went for the 35L version which is plenty for me. Go for the 55L if you want to carry your bait inside.
There are a few nice features too, like a zip behind the front pocket to get to the bttom of the main section, without taking out the stuff at the top. The front pocket is big and slightly padded to keep bait cool. There are side pockets outside plus netting for flasks etc inside. There is a huge waterproof cover that I needed in Ennereilly a few weeks ago!!
It's well built with metal strips embedded in the back to keep it rigit. These are removable if you want. The shoulder straps are good. The zips don't corrode.
Overall, it feels like quality stuff.
