Hey all,
Recently lost the top half of my abu beach caster to the pilot boat at cappa :( .
Looking for some advice on replacing it.
I'm looking for something that will throw a 4-6oz weight and don't want to go mad on the price.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Regards,
Dave

what abu beachcaster was it? if it was an expensive one, it may be cheaper for you to replace the tip section than buy a new rod.....

cant remember the exact name of it, but it wasn't too expensive maybe just over the E100 or there abouts.

depends on what you like your self do you like a stiff rod or not is it a multi or fixed spool you can use Shakespeare Odessa its stiff and Shakespeare tidewater is the softer rod you can see bites on it very good and you can get both in mitliplyer and fixed spool they sell from £60 downwards that would be close to 100 euros they do flattie rods and bass rods as well

Is that the one you lost in cappagh last year or another one. In that price range a penn power stix would be worth a look or one of the better ron thompsons. I think the rt g-force has been replaced but something like that would be worth a look at.

Bought a Daiwa Longbeam 13ft recently and find it a great rod so far. It can lob a 5oz no problems. At E80 I think it's a good price.
