Century WR300 for the rough stuff

Wed Oct 11, 2006 10:03 pm

I've been offered a Century WR300 as a rough ground rod. I'm just wondering, will it cope?

I don't doubt it will cope but am wondering how well?

I have a Diawa 130XM and a zippy LT14 which are really good in the weed but sometimes they can be slightly soft in the tip. :?

What are your views?

I know that some of you do not like Century rods of any model!

I'm not interested in a slagging match if possible just 100% genuine info.

Thanks as always

Steve

Steve,

Have had a few casts with a WR300, VERY powerful rod so it will have no problems with the rough stuff. Think your biggest problem will be finding a venue rough enough to justify using it

Cheers Lee, I'll find somewhere

Brand spanking new, never used and buckshe. Can't be bad at that

And from a realiable source too, so no funny business

it doesnt do any harm having a rough ground rod that hasnt got a pokey tip....sometimes too hard and it doesnt help trying to pull out of snags
