I was thinking of buying a beach shelter, i have seen what is out there and they all seem very big when packed down. are they worth the hasstle

I like the thought of being dry and warm bait protected but i am asking is it worth the transporting and errecting

Let me know if you have one are they worth it. .

Just bought a Shakespeare Navigator - best buy ever - easy to erect and stands up in heavy winds.

I'm not 100% what beach shelters cost but I vaguely remember them being a bit pricy. I always wondered why people dont go for the dome tents available in most camping shops. Theyre 20 quid or so, are up in the time it takes to put up 2 of those bendy poles and are reasonably robust and sheltering.

a dome tent wouldnt hold as well on a beach in rough weather....
those bendy poles would not be the best for holding shape in strong winds..

It would really depend what type of beachs you fish. Many of the eaat coast beachs are ideal with small tidal movement and steep shingle so your in one spot. On a west coast shallow beach with tidal movement of 5 meters they'll be praticaly useless.
