Postby cod chaser » Wed Dec 02, 2015 8:45 pm

Hi lads, Santa going to treat me to a new spinning reels for xmas. Currently using a shimano exage 4000 for bass fishing. Looking to spent up to €150 on a new reel thinking of a shimano aernos fb or a penn battle 11. Anybody got any info on a good lure reel ? Thanks in advance

I've gotten great use from a Battle 2000. A lovely small reel. I like a 2500 -3000 for my lure fishing. The battle is small for its number. I would guess that a 4000 would be like a shimano 3000

I'll throw a few options into the pot.
Yes I know these don't support local shops but
A) they are cheaper than here
B) Shimano Europe offers a 2 year warranty versus 1year for UK and Ireland

Option 1
http://boddenangler.de/Shimano-Stradic-Ci4-_1

Option 2
http://boddenangler.de/Shimano-Rarenium-CI4-_1

I've friends that have both reels and they are a very good reel.

I've used boddenangler before. They will ship it for €12 and although I've never had call for after sales service the guy in there Lars is very helpful.

Good luck with your shopping
