Can anybody recommend a good 15ft rod and fixed spool reel that would be good for distance casting .... thanks
I will be using it for smoothound and bass in the summer

No need for a 15 ft rod a good 13 ft with a bit of back bone is all you need and a good strong reel

if i was you id be getting a trabucco poetica with a penn affinity 7000 great set up will have serious fun on clean beaches with the hounds and perfect for bass

a good mono mate 15lb daiwa tournament or the new tournament st both good line,order the affinity off alderny angling super cheap site and mark will look after you
