Myself never wore neoprene.

Was warned get a set for winter.
Got a set of sigma 4mm. Used lady might

A god send
Wore a set of women's leggings and a track suit under them
Was well warm all night
No leaks
No dis comfort
Nothing just snug all night in them.
Got them cheap €50 boxed with plastic still on them.
Can't complain at all.

Well ( well ) happy with them mate.

One thing mate
Do not wear them in summer or on a long walk to fish.
You will lose about a stone of weight in swear.
Breathable for the summer
Neoprene for the winter

You should check out bass boots they are ment to be the best out there, yes they are expensive but will last you a lifetime so I Suposse it would be cheeper then buying a new set of neo's every year or two!
They are made to measure too.

Best if luck with then mate.
Honestly for the winter if I wear then I rob the wife's tights and cut a hole in then in case I take a piss or a pair of ski pants clothes wot a track suit over them.
Can't afford them willy bear things.
Stay warm all times nothing worse then cold in then. You won't enjoy the fishing.

Try remember if kneeling while tying lines to try do in sand or a small cloth or something.
I glued ( not with super glue it will burn then ) 2 patches if neoprene on both knees
