Hi folks. I'm off to buy a reel in the morning and I'd like to have a look a unity 30 before I settle on an aernos 3000s. Thanks lads, ye are legends :)

Thanks for that Donal. I was planning to head down to him in the morning anyway. I'd like to get my hands on both reels at the same time to weigh up the pros and cons. Do you reckon he has the unity in stock? Thanks again for the reply

Hi ya there is a smaller size 2500 but the 3000 weighs 310 g mainly coz of the full aluminium body max drag is 5.0 kg,6 steel ball bearings,anti rust technology,advanced braking system,max drags system.that's what's on the box anyway sounds more like a car ha ha :lol: but I have mine now a year with no problems wave soaking and all.

Update: tom in TH sports in midleton has unity reels on order.

Alright catcher! paid 55 for the salty. Nice rod no complaints at all with it :). Not the slimmest but it fishes very well and seems to be toughly built. Feels nice with my 4000 size aernos on it.

Thanks man,i have 6 ft version which I use from boat it's only rated 7g to 20g but it has no problem with big fish must take a look at the 8 ft version.
