He doesn't have an online site but Doug Priddy in his shop A Shore Thing in Westport is well worth a visit. He's got loads of stuff plus he his only too willing to help you out with info on tactics and what locations to catch fish.

Tronix Rockfish LRF Rods: http://www.fishingmegastore.com/tronix- ... da03&e=871

How does this reel compare to a shimano exage 4000 in size?

How does this reel compare to a shimano exage 4000 in size?

LI1429 1224750 50FD 10+1 5.2:1 200yds/12lb £49.99 £29.99 In stock
LI1428 1224740 40FD 10+1 5.2:1 165yds/10lb £49.99 £29.99 Temporarily out of stock
straight forward Shimano calls it 4000, here it is 40FD (FD=Front Drag), next in stock would be the 50FD

In fairness, I have to say I went through a couple of pages on the Alderney Angling site and I stand corrected. Some really good offers there. Nice one!
Thank goodness I have plenty of gear here and I am not the one which has to choose :)

Cheers, reason i asked there is no weight given for the rapid bass where the exage is 320g. I made the mistake before when i got a Daiwwa emcast sport it was like a tank compared to the shimanos that i have.

Alderneys prices exclude vat. If you are outside of the UK they won't charge you any so be prepared to be hit by the customs man once your parcel arrives.....the world sea fishing shop won't deliver rods or "other bulky items" outside of the uk.

Cork angling .Give Trevor a call for best prices as they dont have much on the website.Of all the stuff I bought this year hes beating uk prices by a country mile and havent seen any cheaper in the republic .He does all the main brands like penn ,shimano, abu ,daiwa and sonik and will order in .I got shimano Baitrunners in less than 24 hours from the time I placed the order. He does national deliveries

Dan lynch at halfway angling in cork is worth a look too. I bought something off him last week for €45, cheapest uk price was £50 before p&phttp://www.tackledirectireland.ie
The uk shops arent always the better option. You need to save more than just a few €€ to make it worthwhile in case anything goes wrong.
