rod and reel question

rod and reel question

hi ive a penn senator and a shimano ax boat 21011 just wondering has anyone fished with these or any exprience wondering would they hold blue shark?

Which Senator is it and what size: 3/0= 113h, 6/0?
What rating is on the rod - 12lb class, 20lb, 30lb etc?

By the sounds of it you will have no problem but it is best to get the models or post pictures.

the reel is 4/0 and it doesnt say it anywhere on the rod

The reel will do fine. If the reel matches the rod then the rod will be plenty strong if not a broom handle.
I use a 12/20lb with a Penn 535 or Calcutta 700 for blue shark fishing and it works out grand.
Might be a safer bet to have a 20/30 class rod. Yours could be that anyway.
