I see that Nicefish's link doesn't work. I tried putting a fresh link up and that failed too. I can't copy and paste via smartphone either!

Anyway if you want to read my review (after limited use of the rod) it's in the lure section in a thread by Nicefish re a special offer on another model Argento.

Next time I'm on a computer I will try to paste it on here.

Thanks Nicefish it doesn't work for me so I shall blame the not so smart phone or Tapatalk 2 software.

Of course it could just be me.

I have the 8' 6" 6-28g Argento RV. I have only used it a few times so can't give a detailed review. My other rod is the original 2009 8' 6" Bushwhacker. Compared to the Bushwhacker the Argento feels far lighter in the hand (is more wand-like if you like) and isn't as stiff but is still fast actioned. I have mine paired with a 4000 size Shimano Rarenium which balances perfectly. This is a light reel and weighs about the same as a 2500/3000 size Exage or similar Shimano. As might be expected the rod is better with lighter sp's than the heavier Bushwhacker. It will also handle hard lures and sp's up to its max rating but is perfect with 'standard' hard lures and also sp's up to around the 20g mark.

A word of warning like many rods designed for the Japanese market it has a shorter handle when compared to a lot of other lure rods such as the Bushwhacker. This takes a bit of getting used to. From what I can gather some anglers love the shorter handled rods and now find the standard handles clumsy in comparison. However others can't get used to them.

Thanks for that review, looks like i know what i want for xmas.

Been using the bushwacker myself but finding it a little too stiff.

Is there anywhere in Ireland that sells the Graphiteleader ?

Would rather shop local but can only see them on uk sites :(

In my opinon the rod is still pretty stiff. As I said not it's not as stiff as the Bushwhacker but has nowhere near a through/parabolic type action. It's difficult to describe rod actions. But I know Graphiteleader and other brands have softer actioned rods im their ranges. Might be worth waiting to see if Cian gets them in so you can have a wiggle before you buy. Otherwise John at Lureheaven is the UK importer.
