DAIWA Crosscast

Was in the local angling shop in courtown and fixed my eyes on the new Daiwa crosscast fixed spool reels. nice deal so picked one up filled with line and used it last nite with ease. I found it great to cast smooth retrieve and light to hold

I have a Windcast s and have to say they look and feel great but I just don't think that they are in the same league as their Shimano counterparts. Their parts seem cheaply made especially the handle construction ...for my Windcast's handle to stop unwinding off I had to put in a grip washer !!

I wonder if DAIWA has worked this out because there was 2 washers in the box with it??? and only 1 tapered spool , great to cast though
