Too many Zzippies!

Right guys, I've been saving like a trooper and in the New year I should have enough money for a Cheeky Zziplex!
Thing is, I've been looking through Summerlands, Tonys, Gerrys, everyone, and I'm still really confused as to what I should go for, I'm after something for mixed ground fishing, Capable of casting 6oz with a pretty solid tip (Sort of Century g5ish?), anyway, I value the opinions of the folks on here more than I'd trust a book... So what do you guys think?
I also heard there was a guy on the forum who builds them so a poke in his direction would be handy too...

How about something like a ZTI Drew? Plenty of power but not too stiff in the butt for fishing.
Have used mine with 7oz lead and whole squid and no bother to it at all. Jonny has also used his for pin whiting at range.
HST is anothe cracker, but softer in the tip.
Where are you intending to use it? Not off the Dee surely

Shaneh from this site builds them, but you may have to buy a blank yourself. IMO save your self a fortune and get an Ian Golds extractor, as good as a zziplex but less than half the price

I have a hsm, lovely rod, i use it mostly for distance fishing. Casts a 5oz best. Tip is very nice on it, iv used it scratching in close for flats, to huss fishing from the shore. Great all round rod in my opinion!

M4 EVO i use it for the mixed stuff slim very light and plenty of power

I was reading up on them, they seem the the perfect tool... So I'm getting onto Gerrys after Christmas...

If your mad for a Zzippie i'd try keeping an eye on ebay seen sume decent priced GB3's on there over the last 6months around the 2ton sterling mark in good nick, not bad considering they were around 500e when new and getting rarer by the day as I believe there not making them anymore.
