Any line around about 60lb will do the trick, I bought a spool of leeda line I think it is for something like a fiver and it's spot on. Once you've your rigs constructed hang them up for a day or so with a good heavy weight to prevent the line from coiling (unless you want to get real fancy and use a memory free rig body). Amnesia memory free line is the business for your snoods then

Lots of good lines out there now, I use penn, suffix, mustad, all good.
If you haven't already got one, make yourself a simple jig from a piece of 2" x 3/4" wood, make it as long as you need for the length of rigs you use, hammer in a small strong nail at one end and nip the head off so you just have a pin you can fit the eye of a swivel over, starting at 12" mark the inches on the wood like a ruler, that way you can make identical rigs every time. The nails very handy for pulling knots up tight too.

Great stuff I'm using it for a lot of rigs now. Although I've used the Sakuma Shock Leader in 50lb and 60lb and it was great.

Been using Varivas shock leader/rig body nylon in 70lb, good stuff, it's transparent and soo easy to tie knots.
