help with picking a beach rod..??

HI lads and ladys.im thinking of getting a new beach rod and seen the IAN golds premier match m.13ft4. fixed spool. just wondering if an one has one ? and how it is for fishing and casting.?. OR could any one suggest a good beach rod fixed spool.?. O i don't do any fancy casting just power up and whack it out. any help would be great. thanks.

Hi mate. I bought a 15' Grauvelle surf 4500 last week and am pretty happy with it. Im only starting out though so dont have much knowledge of rods.

those ian golds rods have come highly recommended and very reasonably priced compared to other rods of the same quality

you could take a look at the shakespeare 13ft salt, you can get them in mx or f/s i have the mx and for the money it is a very good rod, as far as i know you can pick them up new for under a ton. they are a very nice rod to use, i have no complaints with the one i have, it dose the job perfect...

I got the International Match last summer and love it. Probably a bit stiffer than the Premier but I found it great for being able to belt a lead out a decent distance. Nothin fancy, just a not very smooth off the ground is all i can manage. Rod felt like it still had loads of power left in it so looking forward to improving my casting style to get the most out of it. I had a couple of smoothies and a ray on it and i reckon it's perfect for that sort of fishing. It might be a bit too stiff for the smaller stuff. I know Dave from this site got the Super Match Extra - the long rod and really likes it too. Dunno if this is much help seeing as I know nothing about the road you actually asked about but sure...
