Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:36 am

Iv a friend interested in the zziplex primo range and i was just wondering if many here use them? I know there is the origional primo, primo match and the primo hi-flex. Anyone have any reviews on these rods? The primo match looks interesting! 8)

The original Primo! esp the 14ft version with a 7ft powertex butt, the Hi-Flex comes in close 2nd but for diff reasons, its an absoulute pleasure to use and IMO the most user friendly rod ive ever cast

hi chris,i use the primo synchro match, lovely rod, never go to a comp without it... always first rod in the bag.fantastic bite detection on the glass tip. very easy to cast and very light. its rated for clean to mixed but would err on the side of clean or very light mixed, certainly not a rod for the heavy stuff.had mine built by gerrys and cant fault the build quality, had other zziplex built elsewhere and not too impressed!not sure where your friend is based but is welcome to have a cast or two if he so wishes........regards sean
