Neoprene chest waders.

Am thinking about getting a pair of 4.5mm neoprene chest waders but have heard they are uncomfortable and tend to make your clothes wet underneath. Anyone know anything about them good bad or indifferent. Thank lads.

As said they will keep you nice and warm in the winter time but you will sweat like a pig in the summer only way to stop this is to get a pair of the breathable ones and they are a lot more money

I have the greys pair for over 2 years now, they are comfortable and never had a problem with them.(i even got caught in barbed wire and they didn't tear).

General feeling seems to be ok for winter but useless for summer unless you pay big bucks for breathable ones. Thanks lads

if your gonna spend hours standing in water on a shallow beach with waves lapping your crotch i,d wear my neopreans even in the summer but for beach work in the summer i use thigh waders or wellys, you would cook in neoprean waders on a hot day saying that the way our summers have gone they could be a wise investment  i have a pair of grauvell ones three years now and they still dont leak,if you rinse them after every trip and hang em up to dry they should last 5 or 6 years it realy depends on what kind of fishing you do the most and when :!:
