Go for a fuji one they are the best, try viking tackle they do mail order and they do stock them.

Hi, I've recently started using the penn talon reel seat on one of my rods, very happy with it so far, ebay, or glasgow angling centre etc retails about £24

be very careful with the talon reel seat ,if you over tighten it can dig into the blank or worse .

its best just to use a fixed reel seat

why fixed shane? is it a fixed spool setup? i,v gone back to coasters as i find i get better thumb grip on the spool and a better grip with the coaster to wrap your finger around ,was using the abu griplock but found it prone to slipping with the 6500 abu,s funny thing with the 525 it never budged

maybe i,m just going back to basics

Two ways to get a better grip with the real seat is to put some electrical tape on the griplock where the reel sits on or in my case with the 6500 I slightly bend down the real seat.

cos i dont see a point in adjustible reel seats find a place on the butt that works for you and stick to it and adjustible reel seat can damage the rod big time. if you want a triger grip just put a coaster over the reel seat when fixing it to the rod

barbaric comes to mind

if i tried that donal i think i know what would happen SNAP!
I sometimes change the position of my reel if i,m using heavy leads to get more punch at the end of the cast was looking at the fuji one with the coaster type fitting on it and recon it could be worth a shot?
