I use the 16 foot one Eddie. They are a nice rod. Eyes are a bit on the light side. I have managed to bend two eye frames without knowing why. Excellent distance with the longer rod with an overhead thump and bite dectection is excellent.

What type of fishing will you be using the rod for?

i have the sl 14ft 4 ounce.
have to say i love it, great little rod and life time guarantee which is handy.
great bite detection, very light rod also.
id say the 5 ounce is the same

hi buddy of mine has got one he plans to use it as a rod for clean ground for flounder ,doggies odd codling with aq oht cast

should be perfect for clean grouns stuff. Just go easy of your using the heavier weights.

was going to get one but the extra thick blank put me off. went for the penn affinity instead (the long one).

Wouldn't call the blank extra thick, but I suppose compared to the rods produced in the last couple of years it could be seen that way. :|
