What spinning rod to buy??

Mon Oct 05, 2009 4:52 pm

Hello

Long time reader but first time poster.

I need help.....
After an accident with my spinning rod last week the time has come for it to be replaced.

I use a Shimano Technium 4000FB reel and am looking for a light rod (preferably 9ft) to go with it.
It will be used for Bass fishing with floating and diving plugs and also Xlayers.

Can anyone recommend a rod in the region of €130-€200 that they think I will enjoy using?

Any help will be really appreciated as I am getting bogged down with internet searches.

Thanks Everyone

Tubertini Dorado - From £45 to £96

In two sections, the high modulus carbon combined with tough resins give a reliable quality to the blanks. The Dorado rods are suitable both for freshwater fishing and for sea fishing, The Tubertini Dorado makes an ideal mini species to use from Boat, Pier and of course a great Bass Rod for spinning or plugging from the shore and in the Surf. The Eva handle provides an excellent grip and screw down secure reel seat. Maximum reliability of guides thanks to reinforced single legs. Each rod has rigid holder.

Hi there,
had a similar dilema myself recently[broken tip section].Got tipped off about the sakura sukan. What a rod so so light and power to boot, held one of the tenryu's also and to tell the truth apart from the colour the action on both is quite similar and the sakura much cheaper, you won't be dissapointed, perfect for popping and sub surface work and the xylayers work a treat also.If you drop me a pm i can tell you who has them for sale along with every type of plastic lure etc you could ever imagine.
Tight lines

I got a Bushwacker two weeks ago, it's an absolute beaut. That's all I can say, I haven't tried the others mentioned.
