I bought it.....
Its a medium light rod 10-50gr action

Now as Im a newbie this could mean anything to me. The lady in shop explained and it was on her recommendations that swung me to buy it.

Can someone please explain this to me in Lay-man's terms.

Also the tip is very very narrow....will a bass not break this in bits? Lady in shop just laughed when I said that (I think she thought Id made a joke??? :? )

Anyone shed some light please?

beside,s the snap i love them .
i think you can get a grauvell platnum reel to suit that rod should be a great combo

Hi Rummy,

It was on Veals but I see now that it is out of stock. I got mine in Murphys Tackle shop in Wexford but Im nearly certain that they no longer have them. I can find out for you as I will be in there during the week.....

To be honest...and this is only MY opinion I think you would be better off with the Teklon Concept rod instead.

Having used both a feel that this is by far the better rod. My Gold Spin snapped on me while steering a fish ( a very nice fish at that) around a rock. Was very disappointed as it was a nice rod to use-not to mention losing a very large fish....
The Teklon was my 2nd replacement but I absolutely love this rod. It is perfect for all types of fishing that I do...top water right down to soft plastics.

For almost the same amount of money you are getting a better rod...in my humble opinion.
