Had a look in Aldi, got two pair of polarised glasses 4.99, a telescopic landing net 7.99 and a tackle box with various lures & spinners that would do for few pollock or mack, The rods and reels look like garbage, mostly carp stuff and mostly crap.
The glasses work but look a bit stoopid!

Agreed - picked up the landing net and tackle box myself which were the best of what was available

I actually thought that the waders they have in at the moment look pretty decent, much better quality than the ones I saw in Lidl a while back, which seemed to be wellies with a pair of waterproof trousers glued on.

Ok the Aldi ones are certainly not going to replace my breathable chesties but at €25 they look like good heavy duty rubber thigh waders and handy to have.

Yiz all missed the best bit of kit - that cap with the LEDs in the peak! It's going to be Sea Trout in the river fishing at night time soon, it's perfect!

I have an L1, the biz but alot of people have had issues with them failing. User error I'd say!
Far more people use them without problems than with! Anyway it's an old debate lets not go back there, plenty of previous posts and reviews about them on the forum.
I read that a great and cheaper alternative to the over priced Petzl model is to fish during the day only!!
