The wheels on the humpalumpa trolleys are wheeleez if you get a puncture you cant repair them, and if you are fishing in hot conditions with a load on the trolley the wheel becomes distorted and keeps that shape. The wheels on the ian golds trolley are much better (roleez) and can be repaired and wont loose their shape in hot conditions. This is why the humpalumpa are much cheaper quality never comes cheap lads.

no i taught you did, i presummed since you mentioned them that they were available again, ive herd pleanty of times there the best but also have heard there not stocked anywhere and any of the shops here cant get them,

you could just throw all the crap you never use out of your box and then you could carry it no probs the amount of gear some lads carry makes me wonder should they not set up a tackle shop instead

Well said Sir Rodge. For my odd foray to the beach I use a cheap foldup aluminium sack trolley fitted with wider pneumatic tyres I got locally. Total cost less than Eu50 and it carries all the absolute necessities - including a little fold-up picnic chair...

I have one of these and sometimes you need a lot of gear to go to comps and especially if your at the last peg on the beach. great bit of kit and highly recommend one. it can be adapted to suit a bait station. Granted you can take more gear out of your box but you still have a box, rod, bait and wet gear to carry. The cheaper pneumatic tyre models dig into the sand and are a nightmare to use

When your hauling 4st gear a mile down a soft sand beach I'd say you would get about 50yds before your trolley would end up dumped in the sea through exhaustion. Them wheels you are talking about don't do soft sand (i have the tee shirt)

But that's the point Rodge was making - why cart 4 stone (four stone?!?) of stuff around anyway? I edit down my absolute needs before the trip, and the might-needs are left in the jeep in case. Then again I'm only an occasional beach angler, you're possibly fishing contests?

OK about the soft sand, you got me there, the beach I cross is fairly hard-packed.

Yep! you have got it now , us match anglers like to be prepared none of your packet of feathers and a hand line here we use rods and reels which weight a little more.
At the top of the beach when the tide pushes in the sand is usually very soft, like you see on the holiday programs on the telly , try walking any distance on a surface like this without gear and you would be knackered
