new 'blue yonder' 6500 elite

hi all,
does anyone know if these have the old style two fibre break block system or is it the new six pin plastic block system as in the hi-speed?

I wonder if you took out the 6 blocks on the pins which might make the spool lighter leaving only the magnets to slow down the spool has anyone tried that on the new reels

that's exactly what I did with mine I took the parts of brokin reels to do it the new 6 pin breaking system is to big on the spool and causes to much drag it is the worst thing abu have come out with

Ye man ten times better I just took the two pin breaking system of old reels and put them in the new reel with out the breaks cos I don't use them but I'm shur u could just take the six breaks off like u sed and leave the frame

as far as i am aware this reel doesnt have any mags in it,,

True but I was on about taking the six breaks out and puting in the breaks out of an old reel

i bought 1 at the dublin show it casted ok even with the 6 blocks but have since got it completly converted from 6 to 2 plus a mag conversion for tournament casting twice the reel and more distance aswell
