anyfish anywhere bib and brace

any one got the above item. any info into these would be great cause i'm lookin a new bib and brace and these have caught my eye cause of the pockets on them. or if any one can suggest a bib and brace your more than welcome.

i have heard them referred to waterproofs that let the rain in!

have the set, lets just say they got the water part right, but they have to work on the proof?

Used to have a pair myself jonny. Wouldnt reccommend them either.

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THOSE ONES BUT THE FLADEN, IMAX AND ABU GARCIA SEEM TO DO FAIRLY GOOD ONES.

i have a fladen floatation suit 3 years now and it never let water in 100% ,shame it smells like a fishbox on a charter boat

cheers lads, i did a bit more research on them last nite and on a couple of the sites i've looked at they've all said the same thing. so i'm gonna have a look at the iMAX white squall bib and brace.

How do u find the fladen roger???

Too warm?? restrictive??? Bulky???

I've heard all these things but am considering a fladen as I am fed being cold with these frosty nights..

The old Titan were great bud have seen there day...

I have the IMAX salopettes and storm jacket..Not that warm at all really ie still need layers underneath.

I have Both the Mustad and Titan and can't fault either of them to be honest. The Titan stuff is years old but still 100% waterproof and it's cozy too. The Mustad I have with 2 years and as yet it's not let me down.

That said I prefer a good waterproof set up with layers beneath rather than an bulky outer suit.

The new Greys stuff comes highly rated too so might be worth a look.

i have the imax floatation suit, very warm and being a bulkly person i dont notice the extra padding, very warm too, had to take the coat off a few time and cool down, great when fishing in winter in the same spot, also have the greys waterproofs, they are great, a wee tip for you if you want extra heat without the extra bulk of a floatie then wear thermals under the waterproofs, long johns work wonders

i got myself one of them ( one peice ) mustad floatation suits and i cant fault it,
it is very warm, just the thing for standing on a beach in this weather.
they are well worth the money........

I have bought them recently jonny, seem to be good enough, plenty of space in them to get extra layers of clothing underneath, and plenty of pockets which is really handy.

One thing I would say, I paid €225 for the set down in courtown, wexofd, more so because I was stuck for some decent waterproofs for that days fishing.

I have since seen that the glasgow angling centre are doing them way, way cheaper...in fact I think you get the salopettes 1/2 price if you buy the jacket. Would work out around 1/2 what I paid, maybe less, but obviously there would be p & p on top of that.

got the imax bid n brace there the other day. Can't fault it at all, also have the mustad ones and they are also hard to beat

I you want warm one thing to remember is, if your feet are cold the rest of your body will get cold sooner rather than later i only wear the floatation suit in the winter but have suffered with being too warm on a good few occasions (my preference is too warm rather than f in frozen)the fladen ones are bullet proof (as seen on trawlermen on bbc2 ) my next suit will be a breathable one ,not that i will need one for a few years yet

Some truth to rodgers comments, much better being too warm than too cold, once the cold has set in, you cant get warm again, and I'm sure its cut short many an anglers session.

However, I've found only my feet to get cold with the imax white squall set (having said that I've been wearing 2 berghaus fleeces underneath the smock, 1 light, 1 mid weightlight). Thermal boots, or boot liners should hopefully cure the cold feet.

ya Roger I have the imax etc for the "warmer" nights and was thinking Fladen floatation for the depths of winter..

I have thermal boots too and feet are snug..but even on the coldest of nights with the Imax gear and jumper and fleece the cold still goes through...

Think I like the idea as you both said of being too warm as opposed to too cold.

Fladen seem to be the best?

no not breathable then again neither are moon boots but i wouldnt go out on a cold session without them

Yeah, have to admit I am fond of my bit of comfort...ie heat.
