Hey lads,
I bought a pair of Ron Thompson Waders last Christmas, i have only wore them a handfull of times but they seem to be leaking through the right boot which i found out yesterday... wasn't too good in that cold

Was just wondering if there is any way of repairing them or should i just reside to buying a new pair of Waders?
Cheers,
Al

In these recessionary times I think repairing is always a good idea

.
Fill the right leg of your wader with water to see exactly where it is leeking through and put a mark around it. Probably a little crack. Fill the crack with glue along the line of Ardalite or Superglue. I sure other people will have suggestions on what glue to use aswell.
Nothing worse that a leeky pair of waders but I think definatly worth repairing as long as you have less than 5 holes.

Yeah tell me about it!
Cheers for that will give it a go later! or i might just dip the whole lot in glue...you never know the fumes could make the fishing a little more interesting!

Try Aquasure to repair them and when your finished leave the aquasure in the freezer for next time.
Neoproene waders barely ever last a year no mater what ones you get

Will give it a try cheers Donagh, If it doesn't work is there any other type that you would recommend that wont break the bank too much?

never mind araldite or superglue you can get aquasure or stormsure in fishing shops. but even better (same stuff but cheaper and bigger) is "serious glue" in b&q.

I can't recommend any of them. If only I knew a pair that would last

Forget Neoproene, gone through that many pairs ive lost count, same story with the lads I fish with, all leak after a few months regardless of make.
If you do a lot of fishing the only serious option for you is breathable waders with wading boots.
P.S. AquaSure is a great waterproof sealant, ive used barrels of it over the years on Neoproenes.
