shrink tubing

Hi all,
just wondering where a person can pick up shrink tubing apart from the fishing tackle shops or is it a speciality material used in the rod building trade, someone told me once that its used in the electrical world as well.
Do the likes of halfords or the like do it?

Maplins also do "Self-emalgimating tape" which is very good, you just wind it on under small tension slightly over lapping as you spiral down and it will "emalgimate" into a one piece hand grip. Or give Tom (Rockhopper) a shout on here he stocks some good quality stuff

the tape cyclists use on handle bars is very good. its padded, has adhesive on the back and needs a drop of superglue or small piece of heatshrink at the start and finish.
