hi ,
i have recently got a penn mag (which i think is a good reel)but on my last two outings one of the magnets comes out of the magnet housing.i opened the reel and and put back the magnet i also fitted another two magnets i got found in the box the reel came in .should these magnets be in the reel from day 1?will it affect the reels castings ability? can i make any other modifications to the reel.any help would be great.

the magnets in the box are spare ones but can be used for more brakeing power its up to you if you dont need them dont put them in,you just piggy back them onto the outside two of the four in the mag holder.if one keeps falling out use a dab of super glue to hold it in the mag holder.you can up grade the bearings but it is not neccassary imho but again its up to yourself.cheers

Its ok everthing is under control ,,,,had a bit of a Homer moment there .....sent it as a pm!
Howya Boss.
I have the same reel mate, and the 2 extra magnets came in the box aswell. They are for extra control over the speed of the spool during casting.
TBH mate ive removed all bar 2 magnets from mine and she runs dandy even into a head wind. I think 6 magnets in them is a bit overkill unless you are learning to use a multi for the first time.
HTH.
