Has anyone tried a 3 hook sheppey rig or tried to make one?
From what I have read and seen, it is only advantageous if a fish takes either of the top two hooks first, especially the top one. Most flounder on the west coast will take the bottom hook first meaning that this rig might not be as useful over here than on the east coast where the top hook is often the first taken.
There is a pic of one in this months TSF. It takes 7 swivels to make. Make sure you are at least half awake before trying it :? :?

The 27ft rig is the one that you found wrapped around the clothes hanger under the front car seat. Too much spare time on my hands back then.

I had a TSF mag a good while back with a sheppy in it. Recycle your old fishing mags rearead last years
From that my understanding is it for zero tide no surf situations around where ever Sheppy is, for flounder, as said to get some movement when one fish is hooked. I haven't seen this TSF rig but it can be setup as running ledger on the bottom so a fish taking the bottome hook will produce movement on the top baits.
I've seen similiar two hook rig for fishing rough ground where the top bottom hook works as a ledger and the top as a pulley. Never bothered my arse trying even though a fish a fair bit of the dirty stuff.
