Century !!THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE RECIVED

Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:21 pm

I bought a carbon metal from a store in wales on line got it shipped to the old dears house in Yorkshire as they were due over a week or so later ( and it was free postage to UK address).
They brought it over for me as soon as they arrived after the obligatory welcome i proceeded to remove the rod from it packing tube and put it together it would not fit much to my horror tried a bit of light oil on the joint still no fun, started to get worried.
Called Century and spoke to a lovely lady called Leslie who told me to have another go and if the problem persisted to call her back, which i did still no joy.
Called century back informed her still no joy , this was late on a Friday after noon she said she would call back Monday which she did and told me they would pick up the rod.
rod was picked up that week.
She called me on Monday just gone to tell me the rod had been sorted and should be with me this Thursday.

don't know about anyone else but i think this is fantastic service Leslie was great and so help-full.
Just for customer service alone i know which rods i will be buying from know on and recommending to any one who is thinking of buying a new rod
well done to century

I bought a C3 about two weeks ago, I chipped the varnish / wrapping on the first run out because my stand fell over, I emailed Century and Simon Chilcott emailed back in no time and asked me to send it in and he would sort it out free of charge and return it as soon as he could!! Couldnt beat that - On the same stand was a Shakespeare Salt MX which lost a guide in the fall, I emailed them, Needless to say - They never replied to it, and when I called them up, put me through to everybody except the cleaner and just said we dont fix them

I thought the reel seat on mine was a bit wobbly at the top end, What problem did yours have?
