Palming is quite comfortable altho its wider compare to the other low profile that i ve used before, but the recess foot of this reel make it sit lower on the rods....

Casting
Cast nicely but not suitable for light lure under 10g since its been using Daiwa Magforce-z.Less difficult to get used to compare to Magforce-v.

Cranking
Smoooth......after the first used....strip the reel and flush all factory grease and oil including bearing....regreased and re oiled....feel smoother....its come with over lube out of the box and make it heavy....

Drag
Cant comment much on this dept, not yet hook to any decent fish....just testing it by pulling the line out...smooth without jerk....

Nice quality reel...but you cant compare them to the other hi end daiwa from this class.....with the price tag of euro 130.00 including shipping and the fetures of the reel its still a steal....

Nice looking reel Joe, I like the look of the new generation reels that both Daiwa and Abu have out at the minute. I know the Revo is getting some great reviews from those who have cast it and those who have managed to land big fish on them....24lb of drag is some going for such a small reel.

Sometime next year Abu will bring out the Revo-Torros (Bull in Spanish) this reel is a lot bigger and will hold more line...if it is half as good as the others in the Revo range it will give the Penn 525Mags a run for the money.

Nice one Joe....I hope it brings you some good catches. :D

Agree with you Tom.After last year model of Abu Revo series(s,sc,sx and STX) they come with new improved Revo line up for this year,Pro Max,Silver Max,Black max,Premier and Inshore.Last year, one of the guys back home have tested STX models to land a 35kg/77lb sailfish and this year as he got the same opportunity to test the new revo inshore again and cough another same size sailfish. The drag is superb i think.

I use most of this kind of reels for spinning and light bait fishing, but i have no doubt that revo premier can be used for light or finesse boat reel.Abu have done a good job on this one,a part from the different shape and design compare to their mainstream round traditional baitcaster, most of the parts are machined to the tight tolerence from solid aluminum.
