Sakuma nite crystal is what I use, Henry has large spools of it there, 4500 metre ones.
I got a 4500 one off ebay for 40 euro, Henry isn't far off.
It's a nice limp line that casts very well.
Apparently it isn't up to the stated breaking strain but apart from that I like it.

Surprised you lost fish on the Berkley BG Trilene, I used that stuff for years and have complete faith in it.
Its a little thick for its breaking strain so I also use the Suffix Tritanium, the red one.
B/S to diameter is great and on the 14lb you get about 1200-1300 yards.
Even the 18lb has B/S of .35 I think.
I know Viking in Bray stock it and also Dogs, Rods & Guns in Wicklow Town.
Have never used much else, if I find a line that lasts, knots well, beds down well on the reel, I'll keep using it.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Have used Suffix Tritanium (Red) for past couple of seasons and can't fault it. From memory the .35 is 19.4lbs breaking strain I think... Saw in Sea Angler there Ian Golds uses grey Ultima F1 in .32mm for loading his Penn 525's.
If you're thinking of braid for the fixed spool 20lb power pro for clean beach fishing is hard to beat.

used to use suffix tritanium but changed to daiwa tournament. cant fault it.found it a nicer line to cast and i landed a thornback of about 10 pounds on 15lb without any hassle.

the two i use for casting are Penn-long distance (fire orange) and Sakuma N.crystal , but for fishing you wont beat Rhino Protector (in stock in Henrys) is very robust and casts like a dream i have never had a problem with it, but i recently heard zebco have discointinued it for some stupid reason

Like Rocker I'm suprised at the line as I use it in all different sizes. It is a bit thicker than others but has got good abrasion resistance. Check your line regularly and I change the line at the end of say the winter if it's still on. I've had that problem when the line becomes a bit past it's best but that would go for any make.
I've heard good reports about the new Greys line but never tried it myself.

i use tritainium and it is great stuff. am also trying out the ultima power plus line and it seems good. daiwa tournament is really good but in my opinion the price brings it down.

The lads who are complaining about berkely trilene big game being a crap line - how long are you actually using the line for? i have tryed all the top brands over the past few years with the big game being the best by far.
