Wood carvings

Fri Apr 13, 2007 12:17 pm

I know its not fishing tackle lads, but thought one or two people might be interested... There's a Slovakian guy living here in Galway who does wood carvings to order, mainly of wildlife. The carvings are absolutely beautiful, anatomically perfect and lifelike. Got one of a sea trout myself for the mantelpiece, see pic below. Great value too, only €130 - if an Irish guy was doing these he'd be charging 3 times as much!
Anyway, if anyone is interested, he has a website with more pics at http://www.rezbarstvo-carvering.blogspot.com/

Yeah, they're excellent alright. Definitely no moulds are used... I've seen a few pieces now and they're all clearly handmade. Its just a hobby for him really, otherwise he'd be charging a lot more I reckon!
