i got one of these for a back up rod for flounder fishing. cheap, decent enough cast and good bite sensitivity. the reels seat looked cheap plastic but that didnt bother me as it was only €70. the reel seat has broken ( gone off its threads ) so its a struggle getting the reel off, anyone who buys one should be aware of this and replace the reel seat when possible.

I've had the same problem with my longbeam which is the same model. It now takes a vice grips to remove the reel. I wonder would a set of coasters be the answer to our problem. Has anyone used them to overcome this problem??

coasters would work, but you have to get the reel seat off without damaging the rod

A hack saw will do it but go slow, should be no problem then after, just add some new shrink tube and coasters. The new breakaway ones are the mutts nuts :D
