Ah ya misunderstood me, i was talking specifically about the energizer one, not the cree ones you get off Ebay. Unless i have completely got it wrong and the energizer ones use cree chips?

The cree ones are wickedly bright alright, just as bright as my H14 and that cost 110....

ive had mine since september 09 and the wires going to the battery pack gave way a few weeks ago. not bad tho considering i paid under €50 and got 22months of good use from it. i contacted peterson of dublin who told me send it off. got it back 5 days later repaired. everything on it looks new except the headband. the lamp itself had a few scratches but looks brand new now. they might just have replaced the casing tho as the part that the strap fits under was cracked after a fall and i had it "fixed" with leader to keep it sturdy. the new wiring into the battery looks different, like its reinforced.
i wouldnt expect most things 2 years old to be fixed for free so im pretty happy with the service.

The one up from that, the H14 is a decent enough light but again it drinks batteries. n:

The led lenser head lights come with a life time guarantee, if it breaks they will fix it, you can't go wrong with that for 50 yoyos's. The light is 130 or 160 lumen, which let's be honest it plenty off light for any fishing situation!

they consider the "lifetime" of the lamp to be 3 years so thats all the warranty lasts for. i wasnt asked for reciepts for mine tho so if it was over 3 years would have been fixed anyway
