anyfish anywhere bib and brace

Hi Lads,
a couple of months ago there was a similar post regarding the afaw clothing.Back then i was saying they were ok,but now if you check the local dump up here you'll find my smock.Once it leaked that was it.It just would'nt keep anything out.If you are looking at a short term solution,check out the the salt smock,it did'nt cost a fortune,once i have a fleece under it ,its perfect,its quiet warm a no leaks yet 5months later.
As regards the heavier duty stuff i have an old mustad flotation suit for really crap weather fishing mine is 4 years old and no probs apart from the smell .From what i can see on the mags at the min they are 49.99 sterling.My friend has a sundridge suit and he likes it so much you have to ask him to leave it at home when we go for a few drinks,its that cozy.
All in all check out the beaches and see what others are using and ask them whats their opinions

some good advice all round there lads. I'd agree with kstaff about the layering. Theres two ways to go I reckon. Breathable thermal underwear, layered fleeces, neoprenes and a waterproof smock or a decent suit.

I have bought them recently jonny, seem to be good enough, plenty of space in them to get extra layers of clothing underneath, and plenty of pockets which is really handy.

One thing I would say, I paid €225 for the set down in courtown, wexofd, more so because I was stuck for some decent waterproofs for that days fishing.

I have since seen that the glasgow angling centre are doing them way, way cheaper...in fact I think you get the salopettes 1/2 price if you buy the jacket. Would work out around 1/2 what I paid, maybe less, but obviously there would be p & p on top of that.

where in the name of f***k are ye buyin yer gear???? Apart from UK mail order sites!!!!! e.g. I have a one piece fladen suit (the blue/yellow one) - paid less than €100 delivered. Was offered two abu 6500 ct cs mags yesterday for €250. I'd reckon that compares well with the uk websites. Ye must have plenty to spend - wot recession

yeah mark it was the white squall bib and brace but i got it in the grey and orange instead of the black and red....been told i can't have them til xmas but i have ways of gettin them
