Anyfish Anywhere 14ft big beach

Was in BAC today order some rag pick up few bits and peices couldnt help looking at the rods (the expensive ones :? ).....Well wat can i say the anyfish anywhere big beach stood out from the crowd....really didnt like the price tag though

Anyone got one of these rods? I know theres always reviews in the mag's but barneyy white and crew have a tendency to overrate everything :evil: :evil:

from talking to some guys that have them and guys who used the prototypes they all say that they are one of the finest long range/heavy work beachcasters that they have ever used and capable of very big distances

Cool they do look the buisness if i had money i think id of left with this model.....thank god i didnt though..... :D .........From now on its try before you buy :roll:

Both as a rodbuilder and a match angler Julian is well thought of IMHO he would only put out rods that he would use himself, that speaks for itself in my book.

As for the price of his rods, again IMHO they are priced well below rods of similar quality, they're not run of the mill rods so your not going to get them any cheaper IMO.

I bought one earlier in the year and it is a very well built rod. I am not sure that I will ever be able to use it to its full ability as I would only have an average casting ability. For those intending to buy one, it is a stiff rod and reasonably heavy compared with an Apollo or Suveran. It handles everything in its stride including heavy seas and weedy ground. It will cast a big bait with no problems either. I probably would trade it for something a little lighter such as a Grauvell DH Surf Rod DUE 4500 or what ever the multiplier version is.

there are a few, the surf, match, beach, estuary. the other is probably a bit stronger again or different action - the rock.

if your looking for a rough ground rod take a look at the 14ft nemisis plus slr the new version it is rated at 6 -7oz and is as light as my bass rod its definately worth a look i think it retail around about £280 take a look

i would have to strongly disagree with IHAVECRABS, what is it about them that is crap? the only thing i dont like is the fact that they are supplied with coasters rather than a real seat, plus, you actually get a rod bag and a rod tube with them, which is better than some of the bigger names in rods.......
its simple to select to, decide what kind of fishing you want the rod for, look for it on the rack by the name of the rod, buy it, end of.
quality blanks, quality build, plus loads of info on the rod and the suitabilities of it on the label, not many come with this....

I tried the big beach at one of the casting club meets and really liked it, it feels very powerful if trying to O.T.G. cast it but is lovely and smooth with a pendulum. It is more than capable of chucking a bait further than will ever be needed from the shore and still showing bites. To put it another way, I think it's a bargain as to get much better then you will have to spend pretty silly money.

they get great write ups in thye mags well then again so does everything :roll: :roll: ...........what is the big beach aimed at which type of fishing?

Sounds like someone got one and cant handle it.

Had a few chucks with the big beach myself and found it a very nice rod to cast, deff for the heavier end of the fishing spectrum, prob why it called "BIG" Beach hairy. Value wise you`ll do hard to beat it for the quality of the blanks/build.

After all that i went off the Big beach just not enough use for a rod like that....So got the Anyfish Anywhere Match '13 4'.....Anyone got one or know anything about them? :shock:
