seat boxes

i am looking for a good seat box for sea fishing. it must have plenty of space.

which would everyone recomment.

shakespear beta box with the back harness. i would guess that 95% of the people that i meet in comps have this combination, i have one too. lots of space, easy to carry long distance. the only drawback is this combo can work out quite expensive depending on where you get it.

Yep. Like fishingmidget says, it has to be the Shakespeare/ breakaway combo..

ny1 recommend the daiwa ones, my uncle has one and it looks ok.

I think 99% of anglers has owned the Shakespeare box at some time....seems to do whats needed......I had the large Daiwa years ago...great box but you need to buy a mule to go with it :twisted: :lol: :lol: :lol:

yeah the shakespeare box is what you will see being most used.

get the breakaway backrest, dont get any of the other breakaway add on's for it.

do any shops in north down sell them like mckees or trap and tackle or somewhere.

Robin in trap and tackle may have the seat box, but he will have to order the backrest, Mackees do have one i think i remember seening one there, but failing that Belfast angling supplies should have it. The guys in the Belfast angling and Mackees will match internet prices with delivery! Better keeping the money locally!!

i'd rather get it in a local shop than order for some reason. theres a shop in kirkubbin and another in portaferry i may have a look in.
