Amnesia do clear snood....I've seen red, black and clear, in fact I have all three.
Depends on the shop you use I think.

is that the stren in the purple packet dbrock, have a spool beside me looks good:D

I've been using clear amnesia for years but recently I've noticed some quality control problems. On two spools the plastic spool itself fell apart leaving me with a mess of line. I also had a spool of amnesia that seemed very brittle and wouldn't hold a knot. Maybe time to change ...

I normally use the clear amnesia for snoods but I haven't any problems with it so far. :? Do you reckon it was just a bad batch or quality slipping in general?

I think they changed the type of spool and it hasn't worked. I've had bad quality spools from a couple of mail order sources.

I'm not sure about the line itself, that might have been an isolated case.

eric i used to use amnesia all the time, but now on my lighter beach rigs for flatties and that i now use flurocarbon and noticed a big increase in my catch rate in comps... :D

Used Amnesia for a while but gave up on it due to the amount of stretch in it whish made using clipdown rigs without SRTs a nightmare. Switched to 20lb Fluoro a few weeks ago and its a major improvement. The fluoro has a bit of memory alright if it gets tangled or spun around by a fish or whatever but on the whole, much better job than the amnesia.

The best way to get around this is to use a sliding bait clip, stretch isn't an issue then.

the best snood is the one that catches the fish, try a few then see which one you like and have the most confidence in, after all believing in yourself is half the battle

i find maxima chameleon excellent, use it for clipped traces in 20lb and lower diameters for flappers, use fluorocaron on flappers too, chameleon is supple and knots very well, give it a stretch and itll stay as straight as any memory free line, you can buy t in 600m spools aswell so its good value.

I use cascades on all my clip down rigs Eoin, due solely to the 100% release rate. Too many unclipping issues with those sliding things.
