People: Ronnie, Billy, Ashley, Livid, Drew, John

Duration: 10am - 4pm

Tide: Big and Wet.

Weather: Choppy, Mostly Dry.

Bait: Mackeral, Lugworm

Rigs: Pirks, Flowing Traces, Feathers.

Results: Codling to about 4lb, Mackeral, Whiting, Coalies, Pollack, Launce.

Report: Started off looking for mackeral which were scarce, moved onto some rough ground around the Copelands and Picked up a few Coalies and Pollack, Finally found the Macks and got enough bait to go and fish the banks.

Started off on the Inside Banks which was producing small Codling to varying Rigs, While on these banks John got a screaming Run, He believes there's currently Tope moving through as this is NOT the first time this has happened in the past week.

Moved to the Outer Bands where the action continued thick and Fast, We were literally catching Codling like you'd expect to Catch Mackeral, The Place must have been carpetted with them... Spent most of the day at these until the Tide picked up to an unfishable 2.2knts, we moved further inshore again but it didn't really fish as well.

if that is the run of tide over the banks, and there are tope runs happening......then why will he not anchor up or indeed drift with heavier gear and go for the tope??????
