People:JW,JD and Donaghd

Duration: 11 am to 7.30 pm

Tide: in at noon

Weather: Fine

Bait:Rag,mackeral

Rigs: Various-tope rigs, Shrimp, feathers, flowing trace

Results: LSD,Dabs,Plaice, Tub Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Whiting, Codling

Report:The lads had been out for a while trying for tope, this time off Greystones, and yet again no joy. I managed to persuade my boss to let me take a half day so we decided to meet up in Wicklow.
We had had bits and pieces, best results coming to a flowing trace with spoon.
A plaice and the nice Grey Gurnard below went straight to the pan-delicious

Whilst on the subject of grey gurnards, buddy of mine had a lovely one off Dunree on Sunday of well over a pound and prob closer to a pound and a half. Didnt have scales or camera with us I'm afraid and slipped it back. Good to see all the same.
