Posted: Fri Jun 02, 2006 11:42 am
People:Me and Screeming Reels
Duration:0700 to 1900
Tide:Low water around 0900
Weather:Sunny day with SW force 2. lovely day for it
Bait:fresh mackerel and rag
Rigs:all sorts, tried everything
Results:Cod 20+ best to 5lb, Pollack 15 best to 8lb, Coalie 20+ all small, Ling, Whiting, Thorn-back Ray, Dab, Pouting, Poor Cod, Dog, Bull Huss, Smooth Hound, Grey Gurnard, Ballen Wrasse 20+ best to 4.95lb specimen, cuckoo wrasse.
Report:A fantastic days fishing for myself and Martyn, can it get better than this? We fished all day and it was none stop, we mostly drifted and did try a bit at anchor but found most success on the drift. Just kept trying different rigs on the different types of ground, it can get a bit rough around the brandies where I lost a bit of gear but it was worth it!
That was the first trip this year for The Great White so i hope i can keep it up!
