We've been out a few times since mid April. Good numbers of Tope around, but nothing over 30lbs yet, good sport all the same. Haven't had any Huss yet, tried for Smoothies for an hour or 2 but didn't get any, but there must be a few there by now, so we will persist. Pin whiting are literally in plague quantities, and are stripping any small baits we're putting down, (and also stripping the crab baits when I was trying for the hounds), and on the weekend just gone Moody Marlin had a lovely female thornback just at the end of our session. If anyone is thinking of a trip to Cahore over the next week or 2, you should be able to fill your boots with Tope, from the Rusk channel during neaps, and during stronger tides try off Glasscarraig & Donamore as we were getting quite a few there too. Those pin whiting make good baits too!
