At last the weather and low winds gave us an opportunity to get out in the boat after a 4 week wait. Fishing was excellent from the start with loads of pollock, coalies and cod. Cod were of excellent quality.
A seagull joined us for a while and Gerry was able to hand feed it.
Hopefully, the fishing will be as good for the Ardmore SAC competition on 25th July out of Youghal.
The coalies were high up in the water and fought like demons. Pollock were at all depths. Rag was the preferred bait for cod.
