Boat Mackerel Reports '13 here...

getting them in Ringsend

we fished there yesterday on the boat didnt see one fish being caught, must have caught them when we left.

A half mile off Roches Point to day getting them 1 and 2 at a time, a dozen in no time.

6 miles off Power Head getting them 2 and 4 at a time

Started getting some late in the day yesterday 3 or 4 miles off Roches Point.
Not loads ,I suppose we got 30 or 40 but had to work for them. it looks like they are on their way

Caught plenty mackerel in Youghal bay Sunday morning high tide.

Had plenty Macks 2 miles SE of Caple both sat and sun.

Had 7 fairly large mac's off golleen yesterday. One quick bang and then they were gone, no more for the rest of the 3 hours. Reckon 2 or 3 might have been the over 1kg size.

mate of mine caught loads in poolbeg today.

A few dozen caught in half an hour this morning (Tues) close in off Mayo's Downpatrick Head, no small ones, most medium sized and stuffed with sandeels. Could've filled the boat with them if we'd wanted.... just like old times.

A few showing up in Cork Harbour yesterday. One or two at a time.

none last week in greystones

Poor of the North coast,
about two dozen between seven anglers.
Lots of launce.

In greystones today not one mac

seem to be a few around lambay ..had 40 odd in 2 hours

Plenty of Macks around now, getting them now for the last 3 days , full strings.

out every day since saturday,very scarce saturday. since then 100 plus each day south of smiths seem to be everywherenow 80 today in 20mins
